6 Reasons To Market On YouTube

Most online marketers are aware of Google AdWords, Bing, Facebook advertising, LinkedIn advertising, solo ads and more. But have you heard about the merits of YouTube advertising?

If you are not familiar with video advertising it seems to be a platform solely for branding, but it’s much more than that.  You can drive traffic to collect leads, sales and conversions with YouTube advertising.

Here are XX reasons you should market on YouTube.

Huge Audience

YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world.  It gets over 6 billion hours of views every month and that number is increasing.  While other marketers are scrambling over keywords in Google, YouTube is a platform that some marketers shy away from.

Free Traffic

YouTube traffic has limitless potential and if you build your channel correctly and optimise your videos it is relatively easy to get free traffic.

Low Cost Paid Traffic

What I love about YouTube paid traffic is it is still relatively low cost.  I have gotten clicks for as low as $0.02 a click.  It is not often that you can get traffic for as low as this.  There are some great options for displaying your paid traffic.  Video Discovery or Video Search and In-Display (where your video will pop in front of a video someone is about to watch).

Even better is you only get charged after your video is watched 30 seconds.

Targeting

Not many marketers fully understand the capabilities of YouTube advertising, but if you are serious about building your business on this platform then you should be using targeting.  You can target your videos based on demographics, interest and niche.

Retargeting

Like Facebook, YouTube lets you build retargeting audiences so you can retarget those visitors that have already watched your video.

Rank In Google

Once you get a handle on YouTube marketing you can start to rank in Google.  It is easier said than done but it is possible to rank in google and get more traffic to your videos from the number one search platform.

When you use YouTube properly the clicks are cheap, the targeting can be more precise than Facebook and profit-ready videos are just a click away.

  • Hey, re affiliate marketing – do you have recommendations about improving sales on a non-niche website? I have a file sharing website and as such it’s very to match products to the visitor. regards

That can be difficult if you are not niche specific. Try products that are more broad, diet, weightloss, beauty
